Binh Tay Market (Big Market) was built in 1928 located on Thap Muoi Avenue. The East of the market is nearby Kim Bien Market located on Hai Thuong Lan Ong Avenue and the West is Binh Tien Market located on Minh Phung Road.
Binh Tay Market was built by Quach Ham – the Chinese businessman, he had a French architect to design the market so it was built by the Western technology but bead the Chinese construction’s style. It is about 28.000m2 of area including 12 small gates and 1 main entrance. There are about 876 stalls here with many kinds of goods, such as: food, ingredients, domestics, clothes,… so on.
