Giac Lam was one of the oldest pagodas in Ho Chi Minh city. It was built in 1744 by Ly Thuy Long a layperson in Minh Huong. With a hundred years of history, the pagoda has had a lot of name, such as: Cam Son Pagoda, Son Can or Cam Dem…

Giac Lam Pagoda has 38 towers which were built at the beginning of XIX century with dedicate building technique. The towers bear the combination of national and French style.

The pagoda saves 118 statues (106 wooden statues, 7 copper statues and 5 cemented one), 113 of them are ancient statues. They all has precious cultural values.
