Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is a pagoda in an area of 6,000 square metres. This is the first pagoda in Vietnam to be built in Vietnamese traditional architecture style but with concrete. The highest structure in this pagoda is the 7-story, 40 metres-high tower. This pagoda houses and worship of one buddha and two bodhisattvas: Gautama Buddha, Manjusri, Samantabhadra.
In the main palace’s entrance, each of the two sides has quite big Buddha statue. The pagoda includes 3 palaces designed with “cong” construction.
Vinh Nghiem Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city
The roofs were plied with the Northern pagoda style.
In 1982, the Xa Loi tower was built in Vinh Nghiem Pagoda.
Although Vinh Nghiem is newly built but it become an unique Buddhist construction in Ho Chi Minh city.
